I have stumbled across a website http://www.amanita-photolibrary.co.uk/photo_library/BI_fungi/Hygrocybe_psittacina_9291.htm and it has a section on fungus. Have a look at hygrocybe psittacina and see what you think.

According to our tome 'The Encyclopedia of Fungi of Britain and Europe'-Jordan Hygrocybe psittacina (aka Parrot Wax Cap) is a small green-yellow agaric, infrequent and occurs from late summer to autumn. So possibly not it. A quick flick through didn't show up any other obvious candidates, so don't know.
