What's this crust fungi? Options

This crust fungus was on a a tree, an Alder I think - it's a few centimetres across. The nearest I could find in the Fungi encyclopaedia is Phellinus ferruginosus.

Location: On tree by River Eden, Lazonby, Cumbria, UK
