Hello

Can someone help us identify these trees in a plantation. They were tall, perhaps 30m, with bark as shown in the photo below. There were no branches lower down, but we think they looked larch-like, ie bare with small knobbles where the needles attach.

Location: in small plantation wood near Shap, Cumbria
Date: 27 January 2008
