This looks a little bit like a soldiert beetle, but hasn't got a red pronotum or face.

Hi, I think you might need to look again on this one as it looks more like a wasp, especially one of the Ichneumon variety. It could be Apanteles glomeratus. If you have the Collins guide to Insects it's on page 230 1986 Edition. It would be quite common reading the description as it feeds on large white and related butterfly larvae.
