Identify Nature is a community that will help identify your finds in the natural world. With this information, we can understand the natural world better and report our unusual finds. Please don't take specimens - this degrades the environment and may be illegal.
Identify Nature is a set of forums for each country, with individual forums for birds, insects, flowers, trees etc. Coupled with these is a wiki of information in each language about each species or type of specimen found.
Please feel free to browse this site. To ask for an identification, provide an identification for someone else, or contribute to the wiki, you must register. When you return, please login.
We hope that amateur and expert members will take an interest in identifying others' finds. We hope to set up a notification facility so you can receive an email when someone posts a request for your specialist interest.
Identify Nature is run for free by Chris Cant at PHD Computer Consultants Ltd. There are plans to hone the site to make it more useful. If you have any comments or would like to volunteer to run a Country forum or Language wiki then please fill in the Contact form.
